COACHING

Speed Theory is the official coach and bike fitting company associated with the Rotorua Half Ironman.

Speed Theory is owned by David Bowden who is widely recognised as a total bike geek. He has 10 years experience in fitting people to their bikes for comfort and for speed. He knows all the tricks to make people more aerodynamic and faster. He takes a methodical approach to bike fitting whether in alleviating pains and niggles for a first time Triathlete or helping a seasoned pro pierce the wind more effectively.

His approach to coaching is the same. He specialises in training with a power meter as that is where his geek status and Science degree have best effect. He is a Triathlete himself and can offer advice in anything to do with the sport.

David has generously put up a beginners program for the half on our website, and will be running training weekends on the course, prior to the event.  Each weekend will focus on a Key aspect of the race, as well as Group training sessions.

We will be announcing the dates for the training  weekends mid 2013.

Thanks for visiting. this is the website of the Rotorua Half Ironman, held annually in Rotorua each year. If you reading this part of the website, then you are a total train spotter, well done. We salute you. We were going to put something incredibly clever here, maybe a secret code that enabled you to receive super powers, a discount, some cool free gift. But we ran out of creative genius and headed off for a ride instead. Right then, time for you to get on with your site browsing, may we suggest the enter now button?
